Summary:

Under the supervision of the Dental Manager, the Dental Therapist combines the knowledge and skills to provide and promote quality oral health care and service.  

Duties & Responsibilities

Dental therapists work as part of a team providing clinical and educational support to children and adults in the community.  Our dental therapists carry out straightforward clinical work, under the direction and written prescription of a dentist.  General duties could include:

Qualifications:

• Two-year post-secondary diploma in dental therapy with satisfactory completion of academic, preclinical and clinical components
• Post graduate orthodontic modules
• Current registration with Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association and Canadian Dental Therapist Association
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Experiences:

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the Denesuline culture.
• Clinical experience preferred
