For individual participation in online continuing education the restriction of 15 credits per 3 year reporting period has been suspended. 
Members may apply for unlimited amounts of online CE credits
until December 31, 2020.  

 

Where certification/proof of completion of online continuing education cannot be provided, a report or completed worksheet on the subject matter must be submitted along with the SDTA Request Form.  Credits allotment will be determined by the Credentials Committee.

Due to Covid-19 all in person continuing education events have been suspended until further notice.  If members have difficulty complying with their continuing education requirements they are asked to contact the Executive Director.  Inquiries will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  

According to the Saskatchewan Dental Therapy Bylaws, Part I Bylaw II Section 6, allpracticing and non-practicing members must obtain a minimum numberof 40 continuing education credits over a three-year period tomaintain registration and/or license with the association.

It is the personal, professional and ethical responsibility of all members to obtain the required continuing education credits to maintain and advance theirskills and knowledge.
